People are the source of BNP’s political power: Tarique
Bangla Press Desk: BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has said the people are the source of the party’s political power.
He made the remark at an election rally held at the Feni Government Pilot High School grounds on Sunday evening.
“Just as the people of Feni, Lakshmipur, and Noakhali have demands for the development of their areas, the BNP also has a demand to present to them – ensuring the victory of the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol,” he said.
“We engage in politics for the people of the country. Whatever we promise, we will try to implement. The people are the source of BNP’s political power,” Tarique added.
At the rally, the BNP chief pledged to create employment opportunities for those who are unemployed, and said the future of Bangladesh depends on the correct decision of the people.
He also urged the party activists to head to polling centres after offering Tahajjud prayers.
Earlier in the day, the BNP chief attended an election rally at Chattogram’s Polo Ground, after which he reached the Feni venue this afternoon.
He is scheduled to address rallies in Cumilla and Narayanganj tonight on his way back to Dhaka.
