PM congratulates Bangladesh U-20 team on SAFF title win

‎Bangla Press Desk:  Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday congratulated the Bangladesh Under-20 football team for winning the SAFF U-20 Championship.Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said, “The government has begun implementing all plans aimed at establishing sports as a profession. In this context, this achievement by our young players will inspire sports enthusiasts across the country. Motivated by patriotism and team spirit, our brave youth have demonstrated that with united efforts, Bangladesh’s march of victory will continue at home and abroad, Insha’Allah.”

He extended his heartfelt congratulations to all players, coaches, and officials of the Bangladesh Under-20 national football team.Earlier, Bangladesh clinched title of SAFF U-20 Championship beating India by 4-3 goals in penalty shoot-out in the nail-biting final held at National Football Stadium in capital Male, Maldives.

With the victory, Bangladesh clinched the championship for the second consecutive time.
