PM inspects Army’s latest anti-drone defence system

Bangla Press Desk: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has visited the Bangladesh Army's summer training exercise in the Babuganj jungle of Barishal.

He observed simulated jungle warfare, troops' tactical readiness and an anti-drone defence system on Monday.

Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman said the premier walked through the vast forest, inspecting training activities, combat positions, troop movements and wartime drills.

Army officers briefed him on the exercise and operational preparedness.

Tarique also watched a multi-barrel anti-drone system designed to detect and counter hostile drones and received a briefing on its battlefield applications.

He later spoke with soldiers on duty, enquired about their wellbeing, sat with them on the ground and listened to their field experiences before sampling meals cooked under simulated combat conditions.

Addressing troops, he said: "The Bangladesh Army, a symbol of the country's independence and sovereignty, enjoys the deep trust of the people."

He praised their discipline, professionalism and sacrifice, stressing modern training, advanced technology and constant readiness, while pledging continued government support for the Army's modernisation and professional excellence.
