Bangla Press Desk: Former central vice-presidents of Jubo Dal Zakir Hossain Nannu died of cardiac arrest at United Hospital in Gulshan early Sunday. He was 58.
Family members said Nannu breathed his last at 2:20am. He left behind his wife, one son, two daughters and many well-wishers.
His body left United Hospital at around 6am on Sunday for his ancestral home in Barishal, his eldest son, Javed Hossain, confirmed.
Jubo Dal President and General Secretary expressed deep sorrow over his death in a condolence message. They described Nannu as a courageous and dedicated party leader and said his sudden death had caused an irreparable loss to the organisation.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also expressed profound grief over Nannu's death in a separate message. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family, asking Allah to grant them strength to bear the loss.
