Political parties must unite to overcome crisis: Ruhul Amin Hawlader
Bangla Press Desk: ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, spokesperson of the National Democratic Front (NDF) and secretary general of the Jatiya Party, has said that Bangladesh is currently facing multiple crises and that overcoming these challenges requires united efforts.
He emphasised that all political parties, along with civil society, must work together to safeguard democracy in the country.
Hawlader made the remarks on Saturday while addressing a meeting of the Liaison Committee of the National Democratic Front, a coalition formed under the leadership of the Jatiya Party and JP.
The meeting was held on the 11th floor of Nasrin Tower at the Jatiya Party central office in Tejgaon, Dhaka.
The meeting was chaired by Jatiya Party Chairman and NDF chief Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud.
The opening address was delivered by Jatiya Party Secretary General and NDF spokesperson, freedom fighter ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader.
Participants discussed the country’s ongoing political situation, future programmes, organisational coordination, and alliance-based political strategies in detail.
Issues related to democracy, free and fair elections, protection of political rights, and ensuring political stability were also given significant importance during the discussions.
Among those present at the meeting were Jatiya Party Senior Co-Chairman and freedom fighter Advocate Kazi Firoz Rashid; Executive Chairman and freedom fighter Advocate Mujibul Haque Chunnu; Co-Chairmen Syed Abu Hossain Babla, Shahidur Rahman Tepa, and Jahirul Islam Jahir, along with other senior leaders of the alliance.
Also attending were Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General Shahidul Islam; acting chairman of Janata Party Bangladesh Golam Sarwar Milon; Muslim League President Advocate Mohsin Rashid; Chairman of the National Islamic Grand Alliance Alhaj Abu Naser Wahed Faruk; and Chairman of the Muktijot Abu Lasey Munna.
In addition, Jatiya Party presidium members Nasrin Jahan Ratna, Masrur Maula, Najma Akhtar, Mohammad Jasim Uddin Bhuiyan, Mohammad Arifur Rahman Khan, freedom fighter Professor Nurul Islam Milon, Fakhrul Ahsad Shahzada, Mohammad Belal Hossain, Jahangir Hossain Manik, Nurul Islam Omar, Naznin Sultana, and Shah Jamal Rana were present at the meeting.
