President Likely to Visit London on May 9

Bangla Press Desk:  President Mohammed Shahabuddin is likely to leave Dhaka for the United Kingdom on 9 May for medical treatment, a source at Bangabhaban told Daily Sun.

This will be his first foreign visit since the political changeover on 5 August 2024. The President is expected to return home on 18 May after completing his treatment.

The 76-year-old head of state is likely to be accompanied by his wife Dr Rebecca Sultana and a four-member delegation, including his personal physician, during the visit.

It is learnt that he will undergo necessary health check-ups and treatment at a specialised hospital in London.
