President to Lay Wreath at National Mausoleum on Saturday
Bangla Press Desk: Newly-elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will pay homage to the Liberation War martyrs through laying wreaths at the National Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Savar around 10:15am on Saturday.
The President’s Press Wing and related authorities confirmed the matter on Friday.According to the Wing, the president will lay wreaths at the altar of the National Mausoleum on Saturday morning. He will stand there in silence for some time, remembering the war heroes and paying respect to their memories.During that time, a trained unit formed with army, navy and air force members will give the president a guard of honour. A melancholic tune will be played through the bugle simultaneously.
The president will also sign a visitor’s book kept at the Mausoleum premises after paying respect to the war heroes.
