Prime Minister Tarique leaves for Barishal
Bangla Press Desk: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has departed for Barishal from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka.
He left his Gulshan home shortly after 6:00am on Monday (13 July).
The information was confirmed through the verified Facebook page of the BNP Media Cell.
According to the schedule, the prime minister will inaugurate a tree plantation programme along the newly excavated Sarikal Canal in Batajor Union under Gournadi upazila.
He will also participate in tree plantation programmes at the Trish Godown Memorial Killing Ground area and the adjacent Sagardi area in Barishal district headquarters.
Later in the afternoon, the prime minister is scheduled to exchange views with leaders of the BNP and its associate bodies at the district Shilpakala Academy.
The visit marks Tarique Rahman's first official tour of Barishal since assuming office as prime minister.
