Rahul Gandhi calls on youth to continue the movement, sends a stern message to Modi.

BanglaPress Desk: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has urged the youth to continue their protests. Issuing a warning to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, "Mr. Modi, do whatever you please. Summon all the police—10,000, 20,000, or 50,000; do whatever you wish—arrest all the leaders. Arrest all the young people." Rahul Gandhi wrote this in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday (October 10).
Rahul wrote, "I have been fighting against Narendra Modi and the RSS for over a decade. I understand them just as one understands an adversary—from the very inside, like the back of my hand. The defining characteristic of these people is cowardice."
"Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Gyanesh Kumar, and Ajit Doval—the villains of this story—are gradually seeing the space around them shrink. We are the ones shrinking that space."
He further wrote, "Mark my words: we have already obtained the information we need. We will protect our Constitution. We will safeguard the freedom of speech of Indians. At the same time, we will ensure that what has happened in India over the last 15 to 16 years is never repeated."
Expressing his support for the youth, Rahul Gandhi wrote, "India's youth, I am proud of you. Keep the movement going. We stand with you."
Notably, on Saturday, police detained over 1,500 protesters in the Indian capital, New Delhi, during a demonstration against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. A bus transporting the detained protesters was also pelted with stones. The protest against the Chief Election Commissioner had been organized under the banner of the 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP).
Police began detaining individuals who had gathered near Jantar Mantar to join the protest. Strict security measures and various restrictions were imposed across the capital in connection with the event. There are fears that protests could spread to new areas in the wake of the mass arrests.
