Bangla Press Desk: The results for the recruitment examination for the post of Assistant Upazila Youth Development Officer (Grade 11)—under the revenue sector of the Department of Youth Development—have been published, following a previous suspension due to allegations of a question paper leak.
This information was conveyed in an official order issued on Saturday (October 17), signed by D. M. Atiqur Rahman, Director (Administration) of the Department of Youth Development.
A total of 5,386 candidates have qualified.
According to the official order, the examination was conducted to fill 242 vacant positions for Assistant Upazila Youth Development Officers within the department’s revenue sector. This is a Grade 11 position, formerly known as 'Credit Supervisor.' The screening test took place last Friday.
The order states that the date, time, and venue for the written examination for the successful candidates have not yet been announced. These details will be communicated later via the Department of Youth Development’s website and through SMS notifications sent by Teletalk.
The official order further specifies that if any candidate is found engaging in irregularities or using unfair means at any stage of the recruitment process, their candidature or results will be cancelled.
Previously, the screening test for this recruitment was scheduled for October 10.
Approximately 319,000 candidates had applied for the 242 available positions. However, the examination was suspended after the question paper began circulating on social media shortly before it was set to commence. It was subsequently decided that the examination would be held on October 16 using a new set of question papers. The screening test took place on that day, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
