Risk of heavy rain and landslides in 5 districts.

Bangla Press Desk: Due to a land depression situated over Myanmar and the adjacent northeastern Bay of Bengal, there is a likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall across five districts of the Chattogram Division. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has also warned of potential landslides in hilly areas.
This information was conveyed in a warning bulletin covering the 48-hour period starting from 6:00 PM on Tuesday (September 29).
The bulletin states that heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the districts of Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Chattogram. It further notes that during this period, some areas may experience heavy rainfall ranging from 44 to 88 millimeters, while others could see very heavy rainfall exceeding 88 millimeters.
Meanwhile, the heavy rainfall may lead to temporary waterlogging in some parts of the hilly areas across these five districts. There is also a risk of landslides caused by the excessive rain.
In light of this situation, the Meteorological Department has advised residents of hilly areas to remain alert.
