Saad’s Latest Project ‘ANNiE’ Heads to Streaming Platforms
Bangla Press Desk: “Annie”, Bangladesh’s first-ever series to be selected for the “Spotlight: Women in Series” section at the prestigious international series festival Seriencamp, is set to premiere on OTT platform iScreen.
Directed by Abdullah Mohammad Saad and starring Nazifa Tushi in the titular role, “Annie” will soon be available to local audiences through the streaming platform.
The announcement was marked by a signing ceremony held recently at the Channel i office. The event was attended by Impress Telefilm and Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar, director Saad, producer EhsanulHaqueBabu, and other members of the production team.
Expressing his excitement, producer Ehsanul Haque Babu said, “After the Seriencamp Festival, we are delighted to bring the series to audiences in Bangladesh through iScreen. We believe viewers will enjoy a fresh experience through Annie’s story, filmmaking style and performances.”
Alongside Nazifa Tushi, the cast includes Yash Rohan, Symon Sadik, Sarika Sabrin, Farhana Mithu, Najah and others.
“Annie” had its world premiere on 9 June at Seriencamp in Cologne, Germany, a leading international festival dedicated exclusively to television and streaming series. The selection marked a milestone for Bangladesh, as Annie became the first Bangladeshi series ever screened at the globally recognised series-focused festival.
