A four-member bench of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed fixed the date of declaring verdict after concluding hearing from both sides.
Senior lawyer Barrister Ehsan Abdullah Siddiq argued in favour of the Jamaat’s appeal, assisted by Barrister Imran Abdullah Siddiq, Advocate Mohammad Shishir Manir and Barrister Najibur Rahman Momen. On the other side, Advocate Towhidul Islam represented the Election Commission (EC).
