Bangla Press Desk: DUCSU’s Vice President-elect Shadik Kayem has got only 10 votes at the Jagannath Hall. His fellow Islami Chhatra Shibir leader SM Farhad got only 5 votes for the general secretary post at the hall.
Shibir’s Mohiuddin got 7 votes for the assistant general secretary post.
Despite sweeping the central and 12 hall union elections, the Islami Chhatra Shibir leaders were expected to get minimal support at Jagannath Hall, which is reserved for non-Muslim students.
Chhatra Dal’s Abidul Islam Khan won the vice president post at the hall with 1,276 votes, while leftist candidate Meghmallar Basu won the general secretary post 1,170 votes. Chhatra Dal’s Mayed won the assistant general secretary post with 1,107 votes.
