Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh 'A' team skipper and wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan has said that he does not see other players as his competitors and instead focuses solely on improving himself.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday ahead of the departure for Australia to participate in the Top End T20 League, Sohan was asked about the ongoing competition for a place in the national side—particularly in light of the presence of fellow wicketkeeper-batters Litton Das and Jaker Ali.
“I don’t see anyone as my competitor. I believe the one who truly deserves should be chosen," Sohan said. "I focus on competing with myself and constantly strive to improve. Whenever I get an opportunity, I aim to give my best."
Litton Das currently serves as the T20I captain for Bangladesh, while both he and Jaker Ali have been regulars across all three formats in recent months. Sohan, meanwhile, last represented the national side in a Test match against New Zealand in Mirpur in 2023, with his most recent T20I appearance coming against Pakistan during the T20 World Cup in Adelaide.
