Bangla Press Desk: Popular actress Yami Gautam has received the National Film Award for Best Actress for the first time for her performance in the movie *Article 370*. She accepted this prestigious award from President Droupadi Murmu at the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony.
Yami was overcome with emotion at this significant milestone in her career. Speaking to the media after receiving the award, she humbly expressed that she was still trying to fully grasp the significance of the achievement. She also noted that, as an artist, she still has much to learn and accomplish.
After receiving the National Film Award, Yami told journalists that she was still savoring the depth and joy of the moment.

*Article 370*, a film set against a political backdrop and filled with high-stakes tension, was directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale. The screenplay was co-written by the director himself, alongside Aditya Dhar, Monal Thakur, and Arjun Dhawan.
Alongside Yami Gautam, Priyamani plays a pivotal role in the film. The cast also includes Skand Thakur, Ashwani Kaul, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar. The film is based on the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status following the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution in 2019. It was released worldwide on February 23, 2024. Produced on a budget of approximately ₹20 crore, this action-drama made a significant impact at the box office, achieving commercial success with a global gross of around ₹110 crore.
The film's success extended to the National Film Awards as well; alongside Yami Gautam receiving the award for Best Actress, *Article 370* won the award for Best Feature Film. Additionally, Shashwat Sachdev was honored with the award for Best Music Direction.
