Bangla Press Desk: A young man died after being electrocuted while allegedly trying to steal electric wires near the runway area of Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred around 10 pm, confirmed Syed Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sylhet Airport Police Station.
He said police recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
“The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed, but locals said he was from a nearby area,” the OC said.
Police suspect the man was electrocuted while attempting to steal electrical wires.
