Tanjin Tisha opens up about the saree scandal

Bangla Press Desk: After a long silence, popular small screen actress Tanjin Tisha has finally opened up about the Tk 27,000 saree fraud case.
Rejecting the allegations against her, she said that there is no question of ruining the reputation of a 14-year career for a saree. At the same time, the actress said that she will appear in court and deal with the matter legally, trusting the country's judicial system.
She said these things at the Iconic Awards press conference held at the Banani Club in the capital on Thursday (July 16).
Tanjin Tisha said that she has been involved in modeling and acting for about 12 to 14 years. According to her, a legal notice was received in her name the day after the shooting of the movie 'Soldier' ​​and a case was filed within a few days. She claims that when an artiste moves forward on the path of success, they try to drag her down in various ways.
Incidentally, in late 2025, Aminul Islam, the administrator of an online fashion page, filed a case against Tanjin Tisha. The complaint states that after buying a saree worth 27,000 taka for the purpose of promotion, Tisha did not pay for it or complete the promotional work as per the agreement. In that case, Tanjin has ordered Tisha to appear in court in person on August 13.
In this regard, the actress said, "I will definitely go to court. I have not been able to talk about the matter so far because the case is ongoing. I respect the prevailing laws of the country. I believe that I will get a fair trial. I have a lawyer, I will deal with the matter legally."
Expressing her position, she further said, "I have been working in this industry with a good reputation for 14 years. I have established myself as an artist by working so hard. Is it credible that I will cheat for a saree worth 27,000 taka from an online shop?"
Tisha said, "Today, where I have reached in people's love, it is not easy to come here in our social system. My viewers love me a little more, that's why they panic when I do something small. I hope the viewers understand what I wanted to say. Again, I respect the laws of the country."
