Tarique Rahman welcomed by BNP standing committee members
Bangla Press Desk: After more than 17 years, BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has set foot on Bangladeshi soil. At this time, members of the party’s Standing Committee greeted him in the airport’s red zone.
Upon exiting the plane, Tarique Rahman waved to the crowd in attendance to acknowledge their presence. Standing Committee members welcomed him warmly in the airport’s red zone.
He first embraced the party’s Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, followed by exchanges of greetings and hugs with other Standing Committee members, including Mirza Abbas, Salahuddin Ahmed, and Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, along with other party leaders.
Earlier on Thursday at 11:40am, the Biman Bangladesh flight carrying him landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Prior to that, the flight had landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport at 9:55am the same day.
