Bangla Press Desk: Fan excitement has reached a fever pitch over Taylor Swift’s latest surprise, "Patient Zero." Everyone had been eagerly awaiting the music video since its debut performance on the MTV VMAs stage.
However, Swift kept fans waiting a little longer; initially restricted to Spotify Premium, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, the video was finally released to the general public on YouTube on Tuesday evening (September 29).
Alongside Taylor Swift, several renowned Hollywood stars appear in the music video, including Dakota Johnson, Colin Farrell, Matthew Stafford, and Kelly Stafford.
Immediately after the video’s YouTube release—ending the long wait—Taylor shared a lengthy, emotional post on Instagram, recounting various experiences from the production. The video was shot by the acclaimed Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel "Chivo" Lubezki. Praising his work, Swift wrote, "Working with Chivo was an absolutely dreamlike experience that offered a wealth of learning opportunities."
She mentioned spending much of the shoot laughing and wearing matching outfits with her co-star, Dakota. Swift offered special praise for Colin, who played the villain, noting, "It is truly impressive to see someone who is so incredibly amiable and kind in real life transform into such a brilliant villain on screen."
She used an old house featured in the video as a symbol to represent "the deep-seated chill of a fading and decaying relationship." She also highly commended production designer Ethan Tobman and editor Chancler Haynes for creating this surreal atmosphere.
