The moon for Jamadi-ul-Awwal was not sighted.

Bangla Press Desk: The moon for the holy month of Jamadi-ul-Awwal was not sighted in the skies of Bangladesh. Consequently, the month of Rabi-us-Sani will complete 30 days on Monday (October 12), and the counting for the holy month of Jamadi-ul-Awwal will begin on Tuesday (October 13).
This decision was reached during a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee held on Sunday evening (October 11) at the conference room of the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram.
A.H.M. Kamruzzaman, Secretary (Routine Duties) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, presided over the meeting. Billal Bin Kashem, Public Relations Officer of the Islamic Foundation, announced this information in a press release later that night.
The release stated that the National Moon Sighting Committee arrived at this decision after reviewing information regarding the sighting of the Jamadi-ul-Awwal moon (1448 Hijri) received from various district administrations, the Islamic Foundation's headquarters and regional offices, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, and the Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO).
Attendees at the meeting included Mufti Muhammad Muhibbullahil Baqi Nadvi, Director General (Grade-1) of the Islamic Foundation; Syed Abdal Ahmed, Chief Information Officer of the Department of Mass Communication; Md. Jahidul Islam, News Editor of Bangladesh Television; Dr. Mohammad Harunur Rashid, Director of the Islamic Foundation's Religious Preaching and Culture Division; Md. Mominul Islam, Director of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department; Dr. Muhammad Shahidul Islam, Chief Scientific Officer of SPARRSO; Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khan, Joint Secretary of the Cabinet Division; Md. Mahabub Ullah Majumder, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka; Maulana Dr. Golam Mohiuddin Ikram, Secretary General of Jamiat-e-Ulama-e-Islam Bangladesh; Mufti Maulana Md. Mohiuddin, Imam and Khatib of the Dhaka Residential Model College Central Mosque; Mufti Sheikh Naim Rezwan, Imam and Khatib of the Chawkbazar Shahi Jame Mosque; and Professor Obaidul Haque of Government Madrasah-e-Alia, among others.
