The plan Trump outlined to resolve the Iran crisis

Bangla Press Desk: US President Donald Trump has put forward a new geopolitical strategy to address the Iran crisis and military instability in the Middle East. He asserts that this connectivity corridor could serve as the most effective economic and strategic solution in response to Iran's persistent obstruction of commercial shipping lanes and its role in regional instability.
Speaking at a multilateral meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, he reiterated strong US support for the 'India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor' (IMEEC) project.
President Trump stated that Iranian attacks on commercial vessels and its influence over maritime routes have highlighted the need to reroute Middle Eastern energy infrastructure. The IMEEC corridor will play a crucial role in safely transporting oil and other goods while bypassing checkpoints controlled by Tehran or those deemed high-risk. The Trump administration has pledged full partnership in this massive, multi-dimensional initiative to ensure the continued supply of energy via pipelines or other alternative means.
The IMEEC project was launched through a joint Memorandum of Understanding signed by India, the US, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, France, Germany, Italy, and the European Union during the G20 summit in New Delhi in September 2023. The primary objective of the initiative is to establish direct connectivity between South Asia, the Persian Gulf region, and Europe. The plan is divided into two main routes: an eastern route connecting India to the Gulf region, and a northern route linking the Gulf to Europe.
The corridor will feature integrated railway lines, new shipping networks, power and digital connectivity cables, and pipelines for transporting eco-friendly green hydrogen. This infrastructure is expected to cut trade transit times between India and Europe by more than half and create a formidable geopolitical alternative to China's 'Belt and Road Initiative' (BRI). At one point during his remarks, the US President issued a stern warning to Iran. Asserting that Tehran has been completely isolated economically, Trump warned that if Iran fails to make the right decision quickly, it will eventually be too late, leaving no chance for the nation to survive. At the same time, referencing last year's US military mission "Operation Midnight Hammer," Trump claimed that the operation had already succeeded in reducing Iran's nuclear program to rubble.
