The Prime Minister wants to build the envisioned Bangladesh by taking everyone along.
BanglaPress Desk: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has expressed his commitment to building the Bangladesh we all aspire to see, with everyone’s participation. He stated that people of all faiths in Bangladesh united to achieve the country’s independence.
Now, the task of nation-building must also be undertaken collectively. It is the shared expectation that people of all religions—Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians—will work together to advance the nation.
He made these remarks during a street-side rally held at Paglapir in Rangpur on Tuesday morning, around 11:30 AM.
The Prime Minister said, "Following the election on February 12, the people of Bangladesh entrusted the BNP with the responsibility of governing the country."
"Since assuming the responsibility of governance, we have consistently strived to stand by the working people of this nation. That is why you have seen us waive agricultural loans for farmers—loans that had accumulated over decades."
He added, "We have introduced 'Family Cards,' and, God willing, we will soon launch 'Farmer Cards.' We have also arranged monthly allowances for Imams, Muezzins, and religious leaders of other faiths."
"In this way, we are working to support every segment of society, including the working class and people from all professions."
Earlier, the Prime Minister arrived at Paglapir in Rangpur to visit a *puja mandap* (worship pavilion) during *Mahanabami*—part of the *Sharadiya Durga Utsab*—and to extend his festive greetings to the Hindu community.
Meanwhile, crowds of party activists and ordinary citizens gathered along both sides of the road from Saidpur to Rangpur, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister. Eager onlookers lined the road for several kilometers, waving to greet him. The Prime Minister acknowledged their greetings by waving back.
