Tragedy in Keraniganj: Gas Lighter Factory Fire Kills 5

Bangla Press Desk:   At least five people were killed after a gas lighter factory caught fire at Kadamtoli Gol Chattar in Dhaka’s Keraniganj upazila on Saturday.

According to fire service officials, the fire originated around 1:11pm. Seven units from local Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and began extinguishing efforts at 1:16pm.

The fire was brought under control at 2:30pm, officials said.

Till now, a total of five charred bodies have been recovered from the site. However, their identities could not be confirmed. Source: daily Sun
