Tulip Flat Scam Case Indictment Hearing Postponed to Sept 1

Bangla Press Desk: A Dhaka court on Sunday fixed 1 September for the hearing on charge framing against Tulip Rizwana Siddiq in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) over alleged flat fraud in Gulshan-2 in the capital.
Judge Abdullah Al Mamun of Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 set the date, ACC prosecutor Mir Ahmed Ali Salam said. Former RAJUK assistant legal adviser Sardar Mosharraf Hossain is also an accused in the case.
He said that the defence for accused Mosharraf Hossain, who is out on bail in the case, requested additional time, seeking to postpone the hearing on the framing of charges. After the hearing, the court set a new date for the proceedings.
Earlier, on 18 February, arrest warrants were issued against Tulip Siddiq and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain after Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz accepted the charge sheet.

On 15 April last year, the ACC filed the case against Tulip Siddiq, Shah Md Khorshujjaman and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain on allegations of unlawfully acquiring a flat from Eastern Housing Limited in Gulshan-2 without making any payment and by abusing power.
After completing the investigation, the ACC submitted the charge sheet on 11 December 2025 against Tulip Siddiq and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain. Source: daily Sun
