Two information cadre officials attached to EC

Bangla Press Desk:    In a move to strengthen administrative support for the upcoming electoral process, the interim government has attached two senior officials from the BCS (Information-General) cadre to the Bangladesh Election Commission.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Md Masud Khan, on Sunday (21 December).

According to the notification, Mohammad Fakhrul Islam, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Information Officer at the Regional Information Office in Rangpur, has been transferred to the Department of Information in Dhaka as Deputy Chief Information Officer and subsequently attached to the Bangladesh Election Commission.

Md Mamun Or Rashid, currently serving as the Deputy Director/Editor at the Department of Film and Publications in Dhaka, has also been attached to the Bangladesh Election Commission.
