Two killed, 10 injured in Mymensingh road crash
Bangla Press Desk: At least two passengers of a Mahindra were killed, and at least 10 others were injured after a United Paribahan bus hit two Mahindra vehicles in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh on Friday.
The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in front of Kazi Shimla Nazrul High School in Trishal.
Trishal Police Station Officer-In-Charge Monsur Ahmed confirmed the incident.
According to police and locals, the United Paribahan bus was travelling on the wrong side of the road when it rammed two Mahindra vehicles parked by the roadside from behind.
The bus then hit a Mymensingh-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw from behind, they said.
Two unidentified male passengers of a Mahindra were killed on the spot, while at least 10 others were injured.
Locals and police rescued the injured and took them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Police said the bus driver fled the scene after the accident.
The identities of the deceased and injured could not be confirmed immediately.
