US-Bangla marks its 12th anniversary
Bangla Press Desk: Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines on Friday completed 12 years of operations, entering its 13th year with a 25-aircraft fleet, services to 20 domestic and international destinations and an ambitious expansion plan targeting Europe and North America.
US-Bangla Airlines began its journey on July 17, 2014 by operating flights on the Dhaka-Jashore route with a Dash 8-Q400 aircraft.
Over the past 12 years, the airline has emerged as one of the country's leading private carriers, said a press release.
"In today's world, there is no alternative to modern aircraft to provide proper service to passengers. US-Bangla is constantly adding new aircraft to its fleet to ensure comfortable service to passengers," US-Bangla Airliners Managing Director Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mamun said marking the day.
"In a competitive world, we are ready to take on any kind of competitive challenge," he added.
As part of its fleet expansion programme, the airline plans to induct additional Boeing 737-8 and Boeing 737-800NG aircraft in the near future.
US-Bangla now operates domestic flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Sylhet, Saidpur and Rajshahi.
The airline also announced plans to launch services by 2027 to several destinations, including Dammam, Madinah, Bahrain, Kuwait, Kathmandu, Colombo, Johor Bahru, Penang and Hong Kong.
It aims to begin flights to London and Rome by 2028 and extend its network to New York, Toronto and Sydney by 2030. Source: daily sun
