Bangla Press Desk: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has said that the commission will neither work in favour of nor against any party in the upcoming elections.
“We will work for the 18 crore people of the country. Voting is not only a civic duty but also a matter of conscience,” he said.
The CEC made the remarks on Saturday morning while speaking to journalists in Rangpur.
“When the state, government, and political parties become one, everything collapses together,” said the CEC. “Public trust in the election system has eroded, and getting people to the polling stations is now a major challenge.”
