Bangla Press Desk: After a wait of almost 10 years, the film 'Dhumketu' starring Dev and Shubhashree was released in theaters in August last year. Although the shooting of the film was completed in 2015, the release of Dhumketu was delayed for a long time due to various complications. Even though it was released after a long time, the film was a great success at the box office.
Forgetting the long-standing episode of pride and arrogance, this popular pair of Kolkata cinema is teaming up on the big screen again. Dev has already confirmed that they will be together on the silver screen again during Durga Puja in 2026. However, this superstar from Upper Bengal has not agreed to give any other information beyond that.
Shubhashree has also kept her mouth shut about this new film. Although the hero and heroine will be known, the name of the director is not yet known. In response to questions from journalists, Shubhashree's husband, producer Raj Chakraborty, said, 'Let the Deshu couple speak, what can I say, I am not a part of the film in any way. My next film should be Kalarab.’
Raaj also clarified that he is not directing this film at all. Although Raj claims that Dev-Shubhashree’s next film is being directed by Kaushik Gangopadhyay.
