Will resign if allegations of vote rigging in JUCSU polls proven: CEC
  Bangla Press Desk:  Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) election Professor Md Maniruzzaman has declared that he will resign from his job and refrain from accepting pension benefits if allegations of vote rigging or fake voting are proven true. “The election has been conducted in a fair and transparent manner. If anyone can prove evidence of rigging or casting of fake votes, I will resign from my position and will not even accept my pension money,” Prof Maniruzzaman said on Saturday morning while responding to journalists’ queries on campus. He further urged all to respect the mandate of the students and assured that the election commission would remain steadfast in protecting the integrity of the polls.
