Will withdraw all cases against AL: BNP candidate in Moulvibazar
Bangla Press Desk: BNP Executive Committee Member Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury Haji Mujib has said that he would withdraw all cases filed against Awami League if he is elected from Moulvibazar-4 constituency in the 12 February general elections.
In an election speech delivered at Kalapur Union on Friday, Mujibur, BNP’s candidate in the constituency, alleged that the cases against Awami League have been filed by “miscreants,” and will be withdrawn if he wins the election.
A video of the speech has gone viral on social media.
On Sunday, he made a similar statement during another election campaign. On that occasion, in Rajghat tea garden of Sreemangal upazila, Mujibur said, “Awami League remains absent in the election season, leaving BNP as the only major pro-Liberation War party in the polls.”
“You voted for Awami League in the past. Now, you should vote for me. If Awami League returns to the political scene again in the future, you may reconsider your options at that time. For now, I remain as a credible choice.”
Mujibur also said he has remained a trusted friend of the people in Moulvibazar-4 whether he was won elections or not. If elected to the parliament, he would work for improving the wages, education, health services, and land rights for the people, Mujibur asserted.
