Youth killed in truck crash in Noakhali

Noakhali Correspondent: A motorcycle rider named Md. Salman (24) was killed in a reckless truck accident in Begumganj, Noakhali. Another youth named Md. Shanto (22) was injured in the incident.
The accident occurred at around 1 pm on Thursday (May 21) in the Banglabazar area of ​​the Chaumuhani-Lakshmipur regional highway of the upazila.
Police said that the deceased Salman is a resident of Begumganj upazila.
Police and local sources said that a truck was heading towards Chaumuhani from Lakshmipur. At the same time, two youths were heading towards Chandraganj in Lakshmipur on a motorcycle. When they reached Banglabazar area on the way, the reckless truck hit the motorcycle. As a result, the two riders were thrown from the motorcycle and seriously injured. Salman died on the spot. Later, locals rescued the injured Shanto and admitted him to a hospital.
Chandraganj Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Adel Akbar said that the name of the deceased has been known, but the detailed address has not been confirmed yet. According to locals, he is a resident of Begumganj Upazila. The truck has been seized after the accident. However, the driver has fled. Further legal action will be taken based on the complaint of the deceased's family.
