Yunus may also have to flee like Sheikh Hasina: Oli Ahmed

Bangla Press Desk:   Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) president Col (Rtd) Oli Ahmed has said that Dr. Muhammad Yunus may also have to flee like former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said, “Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus may also have to flee like Sheikh Hasina. I’m predicting this because nothing is under his control. In the civil administration, the armed forces and the police—nothing is under control.”

LDP president made these remarks in an interview with an online portal, reports Kaler Kantho.

Oli Ahmed said that killings are happening everywhere. People block roads and sit down whenever they please, making demands and collecting payments. It has become a complete mess. There is unrest in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The number of refugees is increasing day by day.

“You cannot run the country by giving speeches and smiling. Problems must be solved firmly. Work must be done to take the country to specified goals. He (Dr. Yunus) cannot do that, because he has taken over all the NGOs and similar organizations. Very few of them have experience running ministries or have previously been MPs,” he added.

Answering a question about the Awami League and Jatiya Party participating in elections, the LDP president said: “We have clearly said — those who looted the country’s wealth or helped in the looting, those who worked as agents of the Indian government, have no right to do politics in Bangladesh. They are killers, they are bloodsuckers of the people. Bloodsuckers will not be allowed to do politics in Bangladesh.”
