US politicians praised by Muslims in Eid congregations in US

Staff Reporter: US politicians have praised the Muslim community for attending various Eid congregations in the United States. They say the United States is proud of Muslims today. Muslim Americans have been contributing to the prosperity of our country since the founding of the United States. The Muslims themselves are as diverse and vibrant as the America they are helping to create.

Expatriate Bangladeshis in the United States have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims, in a joyous atmosphere. On Monday (May 2) morning, local time, millions of devout Muslims took part in Eid prayers at Bangladeshi-run mosques, adjoining grounds, park grounds and church grounds in different states. In areas where there are no mosques, Friday and Eid congregations have been held in the church’s main hall for a long time.

Eid congregations begin at 7am. in more than 500 Bangladeshi-run mosques or adjoining grounds across the United States. Apart from this, Eid Jamaat is held in the mosques run by the citizens of other countries till 10 am. The local administration took special measures for the security of Eid Jamaat.

US senators, congressmen, congresswomen, governors, city mayors and councilors attended Eid greetings at hundreds of Eidgah grounds across the United States. “American Muslims are leading our fight against COVID-19, playing a leading role in developing vaccines, and serving as a front-line healthcare provider,” they said. They are creating jobs as entrepreneurs and business owners, risking their lives as first responders, teaching in our schools, working across the country as dedicated government employees and playing a leading role in our ongoing struggle for racial equality and social justice.
Ned Lamont, governor of the Connecticut, neighboring state of New York was a guest at a large Eid-ul-Fitr party at the XL Center in Hartford on Monday (May 2) morning. He wished the Muslims present a happy Eid and said that not only the state of Connecticut but also the United States is proud of the Muslims today. Because Muslims at all levels in the United States continue to contribute to the country’s prosperity. Muslims themselves are as diverse and vibrant as that America. Khairul Alam (Noel), a young Imam of Bangladeshi descent, led the congregation with the participation of more than 5,000 devotees from different countries of the world.

US politicians who attended hundreds of Eid greetings at Eid al-Fitr grounds in different states said Muslim Americans are still victims of crimes such as abuse, injustice and hate. Such preconceptions (about them) and attacking them is wrong (work). Which is unacceptable. And these must be stopped. No one in America should be afraid to express their beliefs, and my administration will work tirelessly to protect the safety and rights of all people.

Meanwhile, a large Eid-ul-Fitr congregation was held at 9:00 am. on the grounds of Thomas Edison High School at 165th Street, organized by the Jamaica Muslim Center JMC in New York.
The second congregation will be held at the Dar es Salaam Mosque in Jamaica at 7 am, the second congregation will be held at 8 am, the third congregation will be held at 9 am and the fourth congregation will be held at 10 am. There prayers are arranged for men as well as women. In the first congregation the men took part in the prayers. The other three congregations are also attended by women. It is located at 148th Street in Jamaica.
Three Eid congregations were held at the Al Amin Jame Mosque and Islamic Center in Astoria. The congregation was held at 36th Street. The first congregation is held at 7 am, the second congregation at 8 am and the third congregation at 9 am. In the third congregation, women take part in prayers.

An Eid congregation was held at the Susan B. Anthony School grounds at 9 am on the initiative of Arafa Islamic Center. Four congregations were held inside the mosque at 161 Street. There are four congregations at seven, eight, nine and 10 in the morning. There were special arrangements for women and children.
The first Eid congregation was held at East Elmhurst Jame Mosque and Muslim Center at 9:00 am. It is on PS127 school playground. The first congregation is at eight in the morning, the second congregation at nine in the morning.

Eid prayers are organized at the New York Eidgah. Five Eid congregations were held at the Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights from 7am to 11pm. There will be first congregation at 7 am, second congregation at 8 am, third congregation at 9 am, fourth congregation at 10 am and last congregation at 11 pm. There were special arrangements for prayers for men as well as women and children. Since 2011, five Eid congregations have been held at the New York Eidgah every year. Eid prayers have not been held at Diversity Plaza for the last two years due to Corona.
Eid al-Fitr congregations are being held in Jackson Heights and Woodside at the initiative of Al Noor Islamic Center. Eid prayers were held on the street in front of the Al Noor Islamic Cultural Center at 74th Street in Woodside at 7:30 am. And the second Eid congregation was held at 8:30 in the morning on 72nd Street in Jackson Heights.

Eid prayers are held inside the mosque and in the open space in front of the Darul Uloom New York. Eid prayers are arranged there from 7 to 8 in the morning. There is a congregation at eight in the morning. Two Eid congregations were held at the Baitul Islam Mosque and Community Center in the Bronx.
The first Eid congregation was held inside the mosque at 90 Avenue, 150th Street, Parsons, at 6:30 am, organized by the American Muslim Center. Then two Eid congregations were held at Ruffles King Theme Park. One will be at eight in the morning, the other at 10 in the morning. There are three congregations in total. In two parks and another mosque.

A total of four Eid congregations were held at the Darul Janna Mosque and Islamic Center in Brooklyn. In the previous years also four Jamaat was organized there. Congregations are usually held here between 6:30 am and 9:30 am.
An Eid Jamaat was held at Bangladesh Muslim Center and Islamic Center. The mosque building in Brooklyn is much larger. For this reason, Eid prayers of four to five thousand people are arranged here.
Eid prayers have been held at the Hazrat Belal Mosque in Brooklyn. A total of three Eid congregations are held here. The first congregation at Belal Mosque is at seven in the morning, the second at eight and the third at nine. About a thousand people pray here.
Meanwhile, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, due to the efforts of devout Bangladeshi expatriates, the biggest Eid Jamaat was held in the open field at 9 am.
The congregation was held at the Hormmel Stadium (90 Locus Street) in Medford, near Boston, at the Islamic Cultural Center of Medford (ICCM).
Also, the most populous and Bangladeshi in the United States are New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Virginia, California, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Delaware, Georgia, Delaware, Georgia, Expatriate Bangladeshis in DC and Kentucky hold Eid congregations at different times. American politicians praised the Muslim community for attending these Eidgahs.

It should be noted that at present in the United States, Christians are the first, followed by Jews. In 2017, the Muslim population in the United States was 3.45 million, which is 1.1 percent of the total population.

In 2015, the Jewish population in the United States was 1.8 percent. Muslims, on the other hand, accounted for 1 percent of the population. Five years ago, the Muslim population was 0.9 percent.
The study shows that in the next two decades, the number of Muslims will stand at 1.8 percent. The total number of Muslim population will be more than 8 million. At that time, the Jewish population would be 1.4 percent.

The study also found that conversions to Islam were at an all-time high in the United States recently. If this trend continues, Muslims will emerge as the second largest religious group in the United States. And it will be by 2040.
According to the Pew Research Center, more than 100,000 Muslims are entering the United States each year. This is due to the high rate of population growth among Muslim immigrants as well as American Muslims. The number of Muslims is growing much faster than the Jewish population.
