Minara Helen: Former President of Jalalabad Association of America John Uddin is no more. Local time Saturday (June 3) in the early hours of the night, died of a heart attack in a hospital in Alabama. He was 62 years old at the time of his death. At the time of his death, he left numerous relatives including his wife, one son. The sudden death of John Uddin has cast a shadow of grief on the Bangladeshi community in the United States, including New York.

The late John Uddin was a long-time resident of the Bronx and Ozone Park, New York. At that time, he served as the president of Jalalabad Association, the largest organization in the United States. On hearing the news of John Uddin’s death, John Uddin’s elder brother left Michigan for Alabama. There, his wife will talk to the child and decide about the funeral.

John Uddin’s family sources said that everyone was sleeping at night. Suddenly his chest started to hurt and it was hard to breathe. An ambulance was called and he was taken to the hospital. Doctors on duty there declared him dead. John Uddin’s country house is said to be in Bianibazar.
John worked in a hotel in Demoplus, Alabama during the summers. They lived in this city for work. They have a home in Texas. At other times they lived in Texas. John has a 12-year-old son. President of Jalalabad Association Badrul Khan and Acting General Secretary Rokon Hakim expressed deep grief over his death.
John’s brother Jalal, who lives in Michigan, is on his way to Alabama. It is said that where he will be buried will be decided in consultation with the family.
