Noman Sabit: A Bangladeshi has been shot dead again by miscreants in the United States. Local time Sunday night (October 29) in the parking lot behind the Masjid Al Medina Mosque and Islamic Center in Delaware County, Pennsylvania (at South 69th and Walnut streets in Upper Darby). Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman (65), a resident of Upper Darby, recovered his bullet-riddled body from the parking lot behind the mosque.

Upper Darby police believe a suspected killer was attempting to carjack the shooting. Officers later recovered the vehicle involved in the incident at Webster and South Cecil streets in West Philadelphia. A phone was recovered in a storm drain at South Cecil Street and Washington Avenue.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the killer. However, the friends of the deceased Mahbubur said they rushed to the spot after getting the news and were shocked to see his frozen body lying there. They said that Mahbubur regularly came to the mosque to pray.
Mahbubur’s friend Ahmed Ibrahim said, ‘I can’t believe that the thugs shot and killed Mahbubur. He was a very good man. He did not deserve this murder. He has a beautiful family. He is one of the best people in our Muslim society.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said it was a senseless act that happened here. We are not sure what our hunter was doing here in the mosque. No one else should lose their life like this. Officials are still investigating the incident in two separate scenes.
Police appear to be investigating more storm drains in Philadelphia. Officials said surveillance video is being used to determine who the suspects are. Authorities say there is no threat to the public at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Upper Derby Police Department.
According to the sources of Upper Darby Bangladeshi community, Mahbubur was one of the members of Bangladesh Taxi Society of Philadelphia, the largest organization in Pennsylvania. He was a former election commissioner of BTSP and a security guard at the local corrections office. It is said that the deceased Mahbubur’s country house is in Narail district.
