Chhabed Sathee, back from Boston: Mahbub-E-Khoda (Khoka) was elected president and Rajibur Rahman Rajib was elected as general secretary in the biennial elections of the Bangladesh Association of New England (BANE) in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Last Friday and Saturday (November 10 and 11), Khoka-Saju-Rajib Parishad won the election with a huge margin of votes.
On Friday and Saturday (November 10 and 11), a total of 1,629 people voted out of about 6,000 voters. Khoka got 1 thousand 154 votes for the post of president. His rival Tanvir Murad got 475 votes. This information was revealed by the Election Commission responsible for Bane’s election.
Sajjadur Rahman Saju got 1 thousand 179 votes for the post of vice president, rival candidate Md Taj Uddin got 4 hundred 41 votes. Rajibur Rahman Rajib got 1 thousand 178 votes for the post of general secretary, rival candidate Shanta Baquee got 5 hundred 59 votes. Ashikur Rahman got 1 thousand 147 votes for the post of joint general secretary, rival candidate Mashibul Amin Saikat got 4 hundred 54 votes. Zahirul Hussain got 1 thousand 1 hundred and 26 votes for the post of organizational and office secretary, rival candidate Pritam Barua got 4 hundred and 87 votes. For the post of treasurer, Moniruzzaman Khan got 1 thousand 139 votes, rival candidate Ibnul Hasan Ipu got 4 hundred 68 votes. AD Shubo got 1 thousand 136 votes for the post of joint treasurer, rival candidate Selina Chowdhury got 4 hundred 78 votes. Rehana Parveen Eti got 1 thousand 1 hundred 43 votes for the post of cultural secretary, rival candidate Maher Noha Ahmed got 4 hundred 73 votes. Mousumi Rahman got 1 thousand 151 votes for the post of joint cultural secretary, rival candidate Nasreen Shahriar got 4 hunred 59 votes. BM Raihanuzzaman got 1 thousand 124 votes for the post of social welfare secretary, rival candidate Istiaq Ahmed got 4 hundred 77 votes. For the post of Sports Secretary, Ekramul Pijan got 1 thousand 101 votes, rival candidate Noor Mohammad got 5 hundred19 votes. Amin Hossain got 1 thousand 131 votes for the post of education affairs secretary, rival candidate Md. Merazul Islam got 4 hundred 74 votes. Pankaj Chandra Das got 1 thousand 1 hundred 7 votes for the post of Public Relations Secretary, rival candidate Masud Akbar got 4 hundred 98 votes. For the post of executive member (one) SM Saifur Islam got 1 thousand 112 votes, the rival candidate Amtiaz Uddin got 4 hundred 98 votes and for the post of executive member (two) Md Masud Rana got 1 thousand 1 hundred 44 votes, the rival candidate Abdul Quader got 4 hundred and 58 votes. 694 votes are subtracted from the above result (taken in the dark of night a week ago).
​Allegations of connivance with the other panel Tanvir-Taj-Shanta Parishad were found even before the submission of nomination papers.
