Bangladeshi doctor dies of Corona infection in Connecticut
Staff Reporter: Expatriate Bangladeshi doctor died of corona virus infection in state of Connecticut in the United States. Dr. Mustafizur Rahman died at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut at 2 pm local time on Friday (January 8). He was treated at the hospital for a long month after infection of corona virus. Local Bangladeshi community leaders confirmed his death. He was 68 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife Lulu Rahman and son Raeed and many other relatives. He had long lived in the town of South Windsor, Connecticut. He worked at Hartford Hospital and Safa Medical Center in East Hartford. His death has cast a shadow of mourning among Bangladeshis living in the United States including Connecticut. The late Dr. Mustafizur Rahman holds a Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) degree from London and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the United States. His country home is in Mymensingh. His death has cast a shadow of mourning among Bangladeshis living in the United States, including Connecticut. Connecticut expatriate banker Golam Ahmed and cultural activist Mollah Bahauddin Pial said his body would be buried at the Muslim Cemetery in Enfield city of Connecticut at 1pm on Saturday (January 9).
