Bangladeshi teenager dies of cancer in Georgia
Staff Reporter: Anisa Abbas Mahima, a Bangladeshi teenager suffering from cancer, has died in the US state of Georgia. Mahima, 16, died at the Scottish Right Children's Hospital at midnight on Thursday (April 15) local time. According to family sources, She had been suffering from cancer for a long time. Mahima is the youngest daughter of Mahmud Abbas Mithu, former president of the Georgia Bangladesh Association. According to family sources, She was diagnosed with kidney cancer at the age of two and a half and has been under the care of a kidney doctor ever since. In the interest of recovery, the doctor also removed a kidney in that childhood. After failing all the attempts of the doctor, Mahima died in the same hospital. Anisa Abbas Mahima's ancestral home is known to be in the greater Comilla district. The Bangladesh Association of Georgia extends its condolences to the bereaved family. BP/SM
