Bengal Tigresses roar ahead of Asian Cup with 2-0 Jordan Win

Bangla Press Desk:  Bangladesh Women's U-20 Football Team boosted their confidence ahead of the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup with a commanding 2-0 victory over Jordan Women's U-20 Football Team in Thailand.Goals from Mamuni Chakma and Suravi Akand Prity on Saturday sealed an impressive win in their final preparation match.

Earlier, the young Tigresses had held India Women's U-20 Football Team to a 1-1 draw, rounding off a productive build-up to the continental tournament.

The AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup is set to kick off on 1 April in Thailand, with Bangladesh placed in a challenging group alongside hosts Thailand Women's U-20 Football Team, China Women's U-20 Football Team and Vietnam Women's U-20 Football Team.

Bangladesh will open their campaign against Thailand on the very first day, before facing China on 4 April and Vietnam on 7 April.

With high stakes on offer, the competition also serves as a gateway to the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

The top four teams from the Asian Cup will secure qualification, meaning a place in the semi-finals could open the door to the global stage.
