Staff Reporter: Joe Biden, the 46th president of the United States, will celebrate the "defeat of the coronavirus" at the White House on Sunday (July 4) to mark Independence Day. Thousands of guests were invited to the event, which was held at the White House premises. Guests will include emergency and essential service personnel, army personnel and their family members. One could not have imagined such an event in the United States during last year's lockdown.
On the occasion of Independence Day, a fireworks display will be held at the National Mall along with the event on South Lawn.
However, according to political analysts, no matter how much Biden celebrates the "liberation of Corona" on Independence Day, there are a number of issues waiting for him, including crises and headaches. These include tackling the issue of climate change, splitting Congress and dealing with former President Donald Trump in retaliation.
A year ago, the United States had the highest death toll from the Corona epidemic in the world. However, in the last six months since Biden took office, the country's corona infection has come under control. The wheel of the economy has also turned. Biden has a completely different view of Corona than his predecessor, Trump. Trump did not attach much importance to the use of masks and vaccination programs to control the infection. But since coming to power, Biden has placed great emphasis on these two issues. In particular, the 47th President of the United States is successfully advancing the mass immunization program.
At the same time, Biden has taken the initiative to implement the historic country 1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan with the approval of Congress to restore the economic condition of the Corona-affected countries and protect the most vulnerable people in Corona. However, he has not been able to complete these steps yet.
One of Biden's goals in freeing the country from corona was to ensure that 80 percent of adults were vaccinated with at least one dose of corona by July 4. Although this goal has not been fully achieved, he has managed to get closer.
"If you're vaccinated, we want to say you're safe," White House Press Secretary Jane Sackie told reporters on the sidelines of the Corona Liberation Festival in South Lawn.
But according to analysts, Biden faced a number of unprecedented problems in addition to the global epidemic when he took office on January 20 this year.
According to Alan Lichtman, a professor of history at American University, Biden is the first president since Franklin Roosevelt in 1933 to face such a daunting challenge when he first took office. He will have to deal with both the Corona epidemic and the economic crisis at the same time.
