British Council Teams Up with EduCan to Enhance English Assessment Access

Bangla Press Desk:  The British Council and EduCan International have signed a strategic partnership agreement to expand access to internationally recognised English language learning and assessment services across Bangladesh.

The agreement was signed at the British Council Bangladesh office in Dhaka in the presence of Stephen Forbes, Country Director of the British Council Bangladesh; Zunayed Ahmed, Managing Director of British Council Services Bangladesh Limited; Shahin Reza, Managing Director of EduCan International; and Farzana Mahtab, Acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) of EduCan International, said a press release.

Under the partnership, the two organisations will work together to make internationally recognised English assessment solutions more widely available to schools, educational institutions, employers and other stakeholders across the country.

The assessments include the Primary English Test, Secondary English Test, Aptis and EnglishScore, all developed by the British Council to provide internationally benchmarked measures of English language proficiency.

The initiative aims to help schools, educational institutions, employers and individual learners assess and improve their English language skills in line with global standards.

The collaboration is also expected to broaden access to high-quality English assessment services, supporting learners and organisations in developing the language skills needed for education, employment and international mobility.
