CRAB sports festival inaugurated

Bangla Press Desk:   A 10-day-long sports festival of the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) was launched on Sunday. 

BNP Publicity Secretary Sultan Salauddin Tuku inaugurated the event by cutting a cake at the CRAB auditorium as the chief guest.

Abu Saleh Akon, president of the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), attended the event as the special guest. With CRAB President Mirza Mehedi Tomal in the chair, CRAB General Secretary MM Badsha moderated the programme.

In his speech, he urged all to pray for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s speedy recovery. 

Thanking the CRAB Executive Committee for upholding the legacy of the programme, the DRU president said the association members not only make reports but are also skilled in sports.

CRAB President Tomal said the sports festival is CRAB’s biggest annual event, which brings joy to its members every year.

CRAB General Secretary Badsha said the 10-day event will strengthen the bonding among reporters.

Every year, CRAB organises sports and various events for its Executive Committee members. 

This year’s festival started with chess and includes many indoor and outdoor sports, including carom, cricket, and football.
