FOBANA Extends Greetings on World Father's Day
Chairperson Rabiul Karim Belal and Executive Secretary Khaled Ahmed Rouf
Staff Reporter: Rabiul Karim Belal, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA), and Executive Secretary Khaled Ahmed Rouf, in a joint statement on the occasion of World Father's Day, extended their heartfelt greetings and congratulations to fathers around the world.
In the statement, the FOBANA leaders said, 'A father is not only the head of a family, but also a symbol of love, sacrifice, responsibility, and inspiration. The role of a father in a child's life is unique and invaluable. Fathers work tirelessly throughout their lives to ensure the well-being of their families and the bright future of their children.
They further stated, 'Despite the challenges and demands of life in the diaspora, countless fathers continue to play a vital role in supporting their families and preserving cultural roots and values for the next generation. We deeply respect and appreciate their sacrifices and contributions.'
The leaders prayed for the good health, happiness, and long life of all living fathers and remembered with respect those fathers who are no longer with us, wishing eternal peace for their souls.
The statement added, 'World Father's Day reminds us of our love, respect, and responsibilities toward our parents. We must work together to strengthen family values and pass them on to future generations.'
The two leaders also called upon all culture-loving fathers and mothers in the diaspora to attend the 40th FOBANA Convention, which will be held during the Labor Day weekend, September 4–6, at the Hilton Los Angeles in Universal City, California.
