Bangla Press Desk: The government has formed an inter-ministerial committee to develop action plans in a bid to boost the export potential of the country’s four major sectors--leather, jute, agriculture, processed agricultural products and pharmaceutical.
The Finance Division has formed a committee with a particular focus on mitigating challenges related to the country’s impending graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) status in 2026, according to a press release.
The committee will assess challenges and propose solutions to enhance export capacity, as it will not be possible for the government to provide export-based subsidies or cash assistance in the post-LDC era.
The inter-ministerial committee will be reviewing measures that can be taken to enhance the export potential of the four emerging and promising sectors.
