Bangla Press Desk: Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed to be the greatest footballer of all time. He asserts that, despite his extraordinary goal-scoring record, he is not receiving the recognition he deserves. Ronaldo's remarks have reignited the debate in the football world regarding the 'GOAT' (Greatest of All Time).
In an interview with a media outlet, Ronaldo said, "People do not properly value my moments or my goals. Whether my goal tally is 920, 925, or 930, I am the best in history. There is no debate about it; the statistics speak for themselves."
The Portuguese star also indicated that he does not want to dwell too much on the goal of reaching the 1,000-goal milestone in his career. He prefers to let things unfold naturally, focusing on the present rather than worrying excessively about the future.
He stated, "I live in the moment. I don't know what will happen tomorrow. It could be that one morning I wake up and simply don't find the motivation to play anymore. At that point, I might not want to play."
Following these comments, comparisons with his arch-rival Lionel Messi have once again come to the forefront. Messi's claim to the title of the greatest footballer of all time was further strengthened after he led Argentina to World Cup glory in 2022.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo continues to score goals in both club and international football, steadily advancing toward the 1,000-goal milestone in his long career.
