ICC disburses T20 World Cup prize money, Pakistan get Tk6.80 crore
Bangla Press Desk: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday announced the final distribution of the USD11.25 million (Tk137.74 crore) prize money pool for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with Pakistan receiving USD522,692 (Tk6.38 crore) for their campaign.
Champions India topped the earnings chart, collecting USD2,639,423 (Tk32.20 crore) for lifting the trophy.
Runners-up New Zealand earned USD1,422,692 (Tk15.22 crore), while losing semi-finalists South Africa and England received USD1,005,577 (Tk10.76 crore) and USD974,423 (Tk10.42 crore) respectively.
Among the other teams, West Indies pocketed USD538,269 (Tk5.76 crore), Zimbabwe earned USD491,538 (Tk5.26 crore), while Sri Lanka received USD475,962 (Tk5.09 crore).
Afghanistan, Australia, and the USA each earned USD309,808 (Tk3.31 crore).
Every participating team was guaranteed a base payment of USD225,000 (Tk2.41 crore).
The prize money structure reflects the ICC’s enhanced payout policy introduced in 2024 and includes base participation fees, match-win bonuses and rewards for progression through the group stage, Super 8s, semi-finals and final.
