ICCB hosts three-day Asian Tourism Fair
Bangla Press Desk: The three-day 13th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) has commenced at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.
The fair began at 10:00am and will remain open to visitors till 7:00pm each day, aiming to attract domestic and international tourists and expand business opportunities in the tourism sector.Asian Tourism Fair Chairman Mahiuddin Helal disclosed the details in a press release on Wednesday (16 September).
According to the release, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat will inaugurate the fair. Secretary of the ministry Fahmida Akhter, along with ambassadors and high commissioners from different countries, will attend the opening ceremony.
Organisers said more than 200 organisations from 10 countries, including Bangladesh, are participating in this year’s fair. The event will feature around 300 stalls.Hotels, resorts, tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, public and private tourism organisations, foreign embassies and other institutions will showcase their tourism products and services.
The fair will feature a ‘Destination Bangladesh Showcase’, an ‘International Tourism Showcase’ and a ‘Bangladesh Tourism Investment Showcase’.
The organisers will also hold B2B sessions, seminars, destination presentations, panel discussions, product promotions and networking events.
Cultural performances from Bangladesh, Nepal and the Philippines will also take place every evening during the fair.
