"It’s never just about the Money"

Bangla Press Desk:    “It’s never just about the money. One of the main reasons I came to play for Bangladesh is to help improve the country and give back what I can,” said Bangladesh national football team star Hamza Choudhury, as he was unveiled as the new Brand Ambassador of Robi Axiata PLC on Tuesday.

The announcement came at a press conference held at Robi’s Corporate Office in Dhaka, attended by Robi’s Managing Director and CEO Ziad Shatara, Chief Commercial Officer Shihab Ahmad, and Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer Shahed Alam, among others.

Hamza, who became the first footballer with English Premier League experience to represent Bangladesh. Since his debut for the national team in March, the midfielder has captured the hearts of millions, reigniting passion and belief in Bangladeshi football.

Speaking about his partnership with Robi, Hamza expressed pride and emotion,

“I’m truly delighted to be associated with Robi. Robi stands as a symbol of confidence and positive transformation for the youth of Bangladesh. Representing Bangladesh is one of the proudest moments of my life, and this partnership makes that journey even more meaningful.”

Reflecting on his experience in Bangladesh over the past months, Hamza added,

“Every loving kid wants to make their parents proud. Alhamdulillah, I’ve been fortunate to make not only my family but also a nation proud. The love I receive here is something I’ll cherish forever.”

Robi CEO Ziad Shatara welcomed Hamza warmly, saying, 
“By choosing to represent Bangladesh, Hamza has beautifully expressed patriotism and confidence—the very essence of our ‘Believe You Can’ campaign.”
